Commercial and industrial effluent is treated to discharge standard on site, before it can reach local water bodies.

Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant
Safely treats faecal sludge and ensures scientific disposal, closing the gap septic tanks leave open.

The Vision
Chicalim Panchayat envisioned a cleaner, healthier village with zero waste going to landfill.
2017 – 2018
Planning & Mobilization
Feasibility studies, community engagement, and planning for an integrated waste system.
2019 – 2020
Infrastructure Setup
Construction of the key facilities, including the MRF, compost plant, biogas plant, and STP.
2021 – 2023
Operations & Optimization
The system went live with door-to-door collection, digital monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Scaling the Impact
Chicalim becomes a model for Goa and India, inspiring hundreds of communities.
