About Us
One name. One team. One mission.
YIMBY is a team of experts that designs, implements, and operates smart waste management solutions, helping build a cleaner and more sustainable India.
Yes, in my backyard.
The default reaction to waste infrastructure is “not in my backyard.” We decided to flip that, because refusing ownership is how cities pile waste at the edge of villages that never asked for it. YIMBY was founded in 2019 in Goa, as an initiative of Inovativa Waste Aid and Management Pvt. Ltd. The mission is simple and stubborn: make zero-waste living practical, affordable, and operationally efficient, so every household, society, hotel, and panchayat can say Yes In My Backyard.

Co-founders: visionaries behind the journey.

Our vision
Every household a sustainability hub. Every city circular.
To create a world where every household is a sustainability hub, every community is resource-positive, every city is circular, and every nation is empowered by intelligent waste ecosystems. By integrating artificial intelligence, decentralised infrastructure, and community participation, YIMBY will transform the way humanity produces, consumes, recovers, and values resources, making environmental responsibility effortless, measurable, and economically rewarding.
Our mission
Waste should not travel. Intelligence should.
To revolutionise waste management through technology, innovation, and community participation, by transforming waste into valuable resources at its source. By empowering communities with decentralised solutions, smart technologies, and circular economy principles, we strive to make sustainable living practical, scalable, and economically rewarding, reducing environmental impact, strengthening local economies, conserving natural resources, creating dignified livelihoods, and inspiring a future where every community takes ownership of its resources, turning today's waste into tomorrow's opportunity.

The values that hold our family together.
- 01
One table.
The engineer who designed the digester eats at the same table as the operator running it. That's not HR theatre, it's how our decisions stay grounded in reality.
- 02
Dignity, not charity.
Our field staff and sanitation workers wear YIMBY uniforms, get safety training, and attend every milestone event. Their work is visible, and respected, from day one.
- 03
Prove it in numbers.
Every installation ships with a monthly performance report. If the plant isn't hitting its targets, that's our problem, not yours.
- 04
Community first.
We don't install waste systems on communities. We co-design them with the residents, panchayats, and RWAs who live alongside them.
